Dr. Crypto is designed to enable Dr. D to encrypt saved (backup) files.
Requires Dr. D 6.8 and SSL for VSE 1.5E or later
Supports DES, DES3 and AES encryption
Supports AES encryption using the hardware crypto-assist features
Will encrypt save files created on either tape or disk
Optional interface to BIM-EPIC: Define to BIM-EPIC EDD if dataset should be encrypted and, if so, the encryption technique to be used. BIM-EPIC creates a unique encryption key for every version—Dr. D will pickup all information from BIM-EPIC and encrypt data as it is written. On input, the security information must match between BIM-EPIC and Dr. D in order to decrypt file
